Play Better Bridge!

We have all heard of spring cleaning. That usually involves overstuffed closets, messy drawers, and that “work room” that ends up as storage for all the things no longer needed.

Well, let’s apply spring cleaning to our bridge games. Huh? How would that work?

Start by looking closely at the convention card you have with each of your partners.

Are there things on there that you haven’t used since you created the card?

Did you forget that some conventions are even on there?

Is there some fancy thing you learned somewhere but have totally forgotten how to use? Or forgot why you wanted to try it in the first place?

These are some ideas that will help you and your partners play better bridge. Clean out the almost-never-used conventions. Or at least talk about them to see if and how they can still be useful. Then revisit the ones you want to keep and toss all those goofy ones that get you in trouble.

Spring cleaning feels GOOD! Enjoy the process and play better bridge!
