Eileen Norris – Life Master

Eileen Norris, Life Master

by Deanne Takasumi
Eileen and her husband started playing rubber bridge in the 1960’s in Richland, Washington. But then she didn’t play bridge for about 30 years. After her husband died in 1990, she became acquainted with Diane Cullen at Curves. Diane encouraged her to come and play bridge. That is all she needed.  She later decided to play more serious bridge and took lessons from Flo Savage. She played with Jackie Sanders for many years mostly at the Ace of Clubs. They won the Battle of Willamette. Recently she has started to play in more tournaments in search of getting the required gold for her Life Master. Eileen was 96 when she received her required gold playing with Claire at the Oregon Regional in Vancouver Washington. So to our wonderful friend Eileen we are so proud of you for achieving the success of Life Master.
