The Oregon Trail Regional is coming to Vancouver, Washington in February. If you have already attended this tournament, you know how well run and fun it is. If you have not been there yet, the time is NOW!

Come to Vancouver to play, have fun, and maybe earn gold, red and black master points. In addition to the bridge, at the I/N sessions, we give out prizes for just showing up. So even if your bridge is stinky, you can still win.

One of the best things about our regional tournaments is the Free Education. Yes! There are classes every morning from Tuesday through Friday from 9:00-9:45.

We are lucky to have Kevin Kacmarynski as our presenter. Who is he? Here is a little bit about Kevin and his teaching style.

• He played his first game almost 30 years ago and has over 2,000 Master Points.
• His teaching style is to make things easy to understand but keep things light.
• His focus is solid fundamentals and critical thinking. He believes that we need those fundamentals before adding the more exotic conventions and gadgets.
• Some of the possible topics are: Attitude signals on defense, Doubles, Reverses, and Hand evaluations. But he may offer other topics, so come and find out.
• Kevin understands what newer and intermediate players need to bolster their games and win more hands.

Grab a partner or come alone to the OTR. We will do our best to find you a partner if you come by yourself. You might even get stuck with me.

The Oregon Trail Regional is Monday, February 17 through Sunday, February 23, 2025. It is at the Vancouver Washington Hilton. That is right across the bridge from Portland. There will be special room rates at the Hilton and it makes attending the tournament much easier if you stay there. Check the flyer for details on how to book your room.
