Have any of you seen Hamilton? If you did, didn’t you love it!?!?! Especially King George and his crazed song “You’ll Be Back”. But I digress.

There is a wonderful song in Hamilton called “The Room Where It Happens”. Why do I bring up this song? How does it relate to bridge? Well, here you go.

It can be a stretch to try something new and attend a Regional tournament. Aren’t those big rooms where the Big Kids play bridge? You may think “I am a less experienced player” and it might seem overwhelming. Fear not! You do not have to play in that particular room.

When you 299ers and I/N players attend these tournaments, you have the opportunity to enter your own area we can refer to as “The Room Where It Happens”. You can both learn a ton and have a blast trying to play bridge at a higher level of competition. Take the step and see what actually does happen. You might be happily surprised!

The next “Room Where It Happens” is in Redmond, Oregon. It is the High Desert Regional from May 12-18. Check out the flyer and make your plans. The HDR is a very friendly tournament. And there are FREE classes every morning from Tuesday through
Friday. We are lucky to have Jeff Roman teaching once again. He is a fabulous presenter and often seems like a stand-up comedian. Laugh and learn all at the same time.
