Maui’s Newest Life Master – Dorsie Glen

Congratulations to Dorsie Glen of Maui who earned her Life Master earlier this year. Here is her story:

“I originally learned to play bridge in college, but gave it up.  When my husband and I moved to Maui, I started taking lessons from Ned Downey at the Maui Bridge Club (MBC), and he said, ‘Forget everything you learned in college,’ which I did, but he was just referring to what I learned about bridge.  Who Knew.

After a few lessons he said the only way to get better was to play.  I am so grateful to the MBC members who were so patient when I immediately forgot the lesson on transfers.  I play on-line with Becky Pelissero and that has been so enjoyable.  I have loved my bridge experience, my partners, and the friends I have met who visit and play at the Maui Bridge Club.”
