OMG – it’s the OTR!

The Portland-Vancouver area’s annual tournament, The Oregon Trail Regional, or the OTR as it is affectionately known, always starts on President’s Day. (Mark your calendar for 2026!) This year, play will begin on Monday evening at 7pm and continue through the week at 10:30 and 3:30pm, with Sunday team games starting at 10am and TBD. Sunday Fast Pairs will be at 10am and 1pm.

Sunday will also feature an ONLINE PAIRS GAME at noon and 5pm. The cost is $15 per session. Both players MUST BE RESIDENTS OF D20. Single session entries are NOT ALLOWED.

All F2F pair games welcome single session entries.

All bridge play will be on the main level through Thursday. There may be events on the mezzanine level Friday and Saturday, stay tuned to the daily bulletin for information. The daily bulletins can be accessed on live.acbl.org.

Please note the Park ’N Go public lot at 6th & Washington across from the Hilton has raised its full-day parking rate. This website has useful information about parking rates, including this map which shows where the long-term meters are. They are $5 per day.

Polly Bullert and Barbie Pyles, residents of the host Unit 452, will be on hand to welcome you and help answer questions. Polly has compiled an impressive list of downtown Vancouver restaurants which will be available at the tournament.

Special thanks to Betsy Ovitt for handling partnership requests. Onsite partnership cards will be available to fill out. And Susie Leo, D20’s I/N Coordinator, has arranged for Kevin Kacmarynski to provide free mini-lessons Tuesday-Friday from 9:00-9:45.

David Taylor will be on hand with a variety of books and other bridge-related items for purchase.

We are looking forward to a fun tournament!
