Player Spotlight – Susie Farber

Susie Farber moved to Eleele, Kauai from Half Moon Bay, California in 2021. At the time, she knew no one on the island other than her extended family with whom she lives. A social duplicate player for years, Susie had joined the ACBL just prior to the pandemic in order to earn masterpoints at the club in California and the 2019 San Francisco NABC.

On Kauai Susie soon connected with the island’s bridge club, where she is now a regular player, often driving 3 hours roundtrip to compete in games that are sometimes only 3 tables!

Susie earned 43 masterpoints in 2022, which tied for first in the 5-20 point category in District 20. All of her points were earned at the Sunset Bridge Club of Kauai’s club games.

Susie said, “Playing bridge with the Sunset Bridge Club here on Kauai has been magical.”
