ACBL clubs all over North America will observe The Longest Day during the week of June 16-23, 2025. The summer solstice (the Longest Day) falls on June 20 this year, but clubs can select one day in this week to have a special event benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Longest Day is a sunrise-to-sunset event to raise funds to fuel the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Held during the week of the summer solstice, this event challenges participants to push their limits and complete approximately 16 hours of a consecutive activity – such as playing bridge. It’s one day to honor the strength, heart and endurance displayed by people with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers every day.
ACBL is an inaugural global partner with the Alzheimer’s Association in this observance and has raised over 11 million dollars for care, support, and research efforts, including $1,214,306 for The Longest Day 2024!
Our own D20 has been a significant contributor – let’s keep it up! Check with your local club to see what they have scheduled and please participate.
